Production/Administration

The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival will begin seeking professionals and interns to fill Production and Administration positions in late December 2010. Employment runs early May through mid-August. Resume will begin to be accepted at that time. PSF will review all resumes until those positions are filled.  Summer Season Casting

PSF employs Union and Non-union performers. PSF operates under a Letter of Agreement and a Small Professional Theatre Contract with Actors' Equity Association. Employment length is six weeks from first rehearsal to final performance. Longer contracts for multiple shows. Housing is provided. Audition information is posted here as well as in Backstage and on The Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia . Casting for the upcoming season begins in late February-early March of that year.

 WillPower Educational Tour Casting-Hamlet

WillPower is the educational outreach program of the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival. Each fall, PSF sends a company of professionally trained and experienced actors/teachers to schools in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware to teach workshops relating to Shakespeare and perform in a Shakespearean production. PSF employs non-union performers. Employment length is late September through mid-November.  Housing is provided. Audition information is posted here as well as in Backstage and on The Theatre Alliance of Greater Philadelphia. PSF will begin casting for this WillPower tour of Hamlet in July 2010.

UPDATE

The Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, Center Valley, PA will hold a NON-EQUITY open call for its fall WillPower tour to schools. $330/wk. Housing provided. Patrick Mulcahy, producing artistic director; Casey Wm. Gallagher, managing director; Erin Hurley, director.   Rehearsals begin September 16 with performances October 6 – November 19. 

All roles open. Looking for actors age 21-35. All ethnic backgrounds are strongly encouraged to attend. Must have experience and training in Shakespeare. Please prepare any Shakespeare monologue. Actors may be asked for a second monologue. Callbacks same day. Callback sides info listed below and sides will be provided at the audition in the event of a callback. Actors will also teach workshops at schools (training provided). Bring pix/resume.
